With decades of experience as a school psychologist in San Diego County, Maiko is passionate about empowering children and their parents to reach their own goals — academic, social, and emotional. She enjoys providing guidance and care for children, and watching that growth unfold together with their parents.
Maiko has worked across public, charter, and private schools to support students from PreK through grade 12. She contracts with local districts as a Japanese-bilingual school psychologist and regularly performs bilingual assessments for students from Japanese-speaking backgrounds.

A psychoeducational assessment is a comprehensive evaluation that examines a student’s cognitive abilities, academic skills, learning patterns, executive functioning, and social-emotional development. The results help identify strengths, challenges, and appropriate educational supports.
Our services are designed for children, adolescents, and young adults between the ages of 3 and 22, as well as parents, educators, and schools seeking guidance on educational, behavioral, and developmental concerns.
Yes. We provide guidance and advocacy for Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 Plans, including reviewing documents, attending meetings, and helping families understand their educational rights and options.
